Why I started this blog

I find art to be one of the most Freeform outlets of expressing complicated feelings and topics. I wanted to find a way to express my thoughts, criticism and also my feelings about contemporary issues by using my writing along with art.

There is a lack of nuance and literacy when interpreting current events, especially for younger people like myself. I wanted to be able to portray these issues in a digestible, interactive, yet artistic manner that captures the attention of an audience around my age demographic, that also portrays more details and elaboration about what is happening instead of relying on surface level quips about political and contemporary issues.

some of my biggest inspiration is Ero-guro.

Artists such as Takato Yamamoto, Mark Ryden and Trevor brown blend in subjects perceived as innocent and vulnerable, but juxtapose there subjects with grotesque and disturbing elements and themes within their art, in manners so bizarre yet beautiful. It encapsulates the feelings that i wish to express and challenge. I want to lash out against contemporary society, as consumerism and capitalist surveillance enraptures everything. Yet I find myself lashing in wards towards myself, I want to portray a raw type of self destruction that questions taboo, and feelings of discomfort.
